What Can the DW-HD Sterilize?
Practical Loading Tips
Leave Space Between Items
Do not tightly pack the sterilization baskets. Steam needs enough space to circulate around the load.
Use a Secondary Tray for Liquids
Place liquid containers in a suitable heat-resistant secondary tray to help contain accidental spills.
Do Not Tightly Seal Liquid Containers
Unless the container and process are specifically designed for pressure sterilization, avoid completely sealing liquid bottles during autoclaving.
Check Material Compatibility
Only sterilize materials that can tolerate the selected temperature, steam, pressure and moisture.
What Should Not Be Processed?
Do not place materials in the autoclave unless they are compatible with heat, steam and pressure.
Avoid processing:
- Flammable or volatile solvents
- Heat- or moisture-sensitive materials
- Strongly corrosive chemicals
- Sealed containers not designed for pressure sterilization
