Features of HBDV-1H Digital Viscometer

  1. The main measurement is solid at room temperature and liquid after high temperature heating, such as asphalt, hot melt adhesive, polyethylene wax and so on.
  2. The measured data can be displayed directly on the LCD screen without secondary calculation. < VSoft Viscometer Data Collection,Analysis and Graphing Software > can also be selected to realize data acquisition and analysis and to compile the viscosity-temperature curve.
  3. High subdivision stepper motor, accurate and stable speed.
  4. LCD liquid crystal with blue backlight function can directly display the viscosity, speed, percentile torque, spindle number and the maximum viscosity and temperature of the selected spindle at the current speed. DV-2 series can also show shear rate and shear stress. Viscosity value shows continuous change, beyond the measurement range there is an alarm sound prompt.
  5. The measuring performance of the instrument has reached the level of the same type of products abroad through computer correction accuracy.
  6. High-temperature furnace uses embedded integral heating, uniform heating and small thermal inertia.

Read the result directly from the display or use optional VSoft software for data collection and viscosity–temperature analysis.

Is HBDV-1H the Right Model for Your Sample?

HBDV-1H is intended for high-temperature, medium- to high-viscosity measurements. Before selecting the model, consider the expected viscosity at the actual test temperature rather than the viscosity of the material at room temperature.

If your sample viscosity may fall below 800 mPa·s after heating, a lower-range high-temperature model may provide a more suitable measuring range.

FAQ

The HBDV-1H is designed for materials requiring elevated-temperature viscosity measurement, including asphalt, hot melt adhesives and polyethylene wax.

The temperature control range is from approximately 10°C above ambient temperature up to 300°C.

A typical measurement requires only 10–20 mL of sample.

Its specified measurement range starts at 800 mPa·s. If your sample viscosity falls below this value at the actual test temperature, a lower-range high-temperature viscometer should be considered.

Many high-temperature materials are non-Newtonian. Their apparent viscosity may depend on spindle, rotational speed, temperature and previous shear history, so these conditions should remain consistent when comparing results.

Yes. Optional VSoft software supports data collection, analysis and viscosity–temperature curve generation.

The HBDV-1H is supplied with No. 21, 27, 28 and 29 spindles. The appropriate spindle and speed depend on the viscosity of the sample at the test temperature.
