Corrosion Resistant Diaphragm Vacuum Pump

Corrosion Resistant Diaphragm Vacuum Pump

Drawell corrosion-resistant diaphragm vacuum pumps are designed for reduced-pressure laboratory processes involving corrosive gases, solvent vapors and other chemically demanding media. The range includes fixed-capacity and variable-speed configurations with different pumping speeds, ultimate vacuum levels and gas-contact materials for applications from rotary evaporation and concentration to filtration, drying and distillation.

Maximum Flow ≠ Actual Flow at Deep Vacuum

Maximum pumping speed describes performance near the high-pressure end. As vacuum becomes deeper, the actual pumping speed decreases, so model selection should be based on the required flow at the real working pressure—not only the maximum flow value.

How to Choose a Corrosion-Resistant Diaphragm Vacuum Pump?

  • Gas/Vapor Type
  • Chemical Name
  • Concentration
  • Operating Temperature
  • 5–8 mbar → DWGM-20 / 30
  • 5 mbar → DWVP-30pro / DWGM-4C
  • 2 mbar → DWGM-45L

Do not rely solely on the maximum flow rate; especially for deep vacuum applications, consider the residual pumping speed at the actual operating pressure.

Fixed pumping speed is sufficient: DWGM-20 / 30

Flexible speed control required: DWGM-45L / DWVP-30pro / DWGM-4C

Especially for strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvent vapors: verify the materials of the gas path components.

DWGM-45L supports: 24-hour full-load operation.

FAQ

Start with the gas or vapor type, then confirm required vacuum and pumping speed.

No. Pumping speed normally decreases as inlet pressure falls. DWGM-4C, for example, decreases from 50 L/min at 1013 mbar to 5 L/min at 5 mbar.

Among the brochures currently provided, DWGM-45L is specified at 2 mbar.

DWGM-20 / 30 specify PTFE pump heads and composite diaphragms; DWGM-45L specifies a PTFE air chamber and air path.

DWGM-45L, DWVP-30pro and DWGM-4C have specified adjustable-speed ranges.

DWGM-20 / 30 explicitly list strong acid and base gases. For other models and specific chemicals, compatibility should be confirmed before use.

Yes. Rotary evaporation is explicitly listed for DWGM-20 / 30 and DWGM-45L.
